Optical Fiber Network
In addition to networks based on geostationary satellites, Stellar operates its own global optical fiber infrastructure based on DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing).
As opposed to MPLS operated networks, where multiple third party operators transport customer data over the global Internet cloud infrastructure with prioritized routing of data packets, Stellar operates the entire network fully synchronized over an exclusive infrastructure with physical point-to-point connections.
This enables us to transport customer data (Multi-Protocol) with the highest possible reliability paired with the lowest possible latency and without exposing any of this data. Thus, we have full control over all network components and circuits, and we can instantly upgrade bandwidth when and where it is needed. Sophisticated monitoring and control of our global optical fiber ring ensures that we can identify and address any circuit distortion.
Further, we can create a customized circuit in a matter of days rather than weeks in Central and Eastern Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
